1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Kuvos ("Kuvos", "we", "us", or "our") for use of our website, mobile application, and related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use Kuvos through a hospital, insurer, employer, care programme, or another organisation, additional terms between that organisation and Kuvos may apply. Those terms control to the extent they conflict with these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Kuvos does
Kuvos helps turn care instructions already supplied by a healthcare professional into a source-backed routine that a person reviews and confirms. It may support document upload, extraction, source review, reminders, task records, Care Circle sharing, and questions for a professional visit.
Not medical care: Kuvos does not diagnose, prescribe, triage, reconcile medications, create treatment plans, replace a clinician, or provide emergency care. Do not use Kuvos to decide whether to start, stop, or change treatment. For medical questions, contact a qualified healthcare professional. For an emergency, contact local emergency services.
3. Accounts, eligibility, and authority
- You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials and device secure, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorised use.
- You may use the Service for another person only if you are legally authorised to act for them and respect their choices and privacy.
- Care Circle access is role-based. Do not invite anyone who should not see the patient's information, and remove access when it is no longer appropriate.
- A child may use the Service only through a parent, legal guardian, authorised caregiver, or participating organisation where permitted by law.
You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by Kuvos. We may require identity, contact, role, or authority verification before granting access or acting on a request.
4. Care documents, extracted information, and reminders
You are responsible for uploading only documents you are authorised to use. Automated extraction, OCR, and AI-model output may be incomplete or wrong. A human reviewer must compare each proposed instruction with its source and confirm or reject it before activation. Model agreement is not clinical approval.
Do not confirm an item you cannot verify. Unsupported, unreadable, contradictory, or incomplete instructions should be rejected or raised with the treating professional. Kuvos does not verify that a document is current, complete, authentic, or appropriate for a particular person.
Reminder times can be delayed, duplicated, suppressed, or missed because of device settings, connectivity, outages, battery controls, or third-party services. Do not rely on Kuvos as the only way to remember time-critical care. A completion record shows that a configured event was recorded; it does not prove that medicine was taken, an instruction was followed correctly, or a clinical outcome occurred.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only lawfully and for its intended care-coordination purpose. You must not:
- access another person's information without permission or misrepresent your identity, role, or authority;
- upload unlawful, malicious, or infringing material;
- probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, access controls, rate limits, or service operation;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- use the Service to provide automated medical advice, make high-impact decisions, or create treatment instructions; or
- sell, scrape, or commercially exploit Service data or content without written permission.
6. Content and licences
You keep ownership of documents, corrections, notes, and other content you submit. You give Kuvos a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and fulfil our agreement with you or the organisation providing your access.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content. Kuvos and its licensors own the Service, software, design, trademarks, and materials we provide. These Terms grant you only a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service as intended.
Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but we will not identify you publicly without permission.
7. Third-party services and availability
The Service may depend on third parties for sign-in, hosting, document processing, AI models, messages, notifications, or links. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable. We will use reasonable care but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or universally available operation.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Kuvos disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage. We do not warrant that extracted information is complete or accurate, reminders will arrive, every source document can be processed, or use of the Service will produce a particular health or care outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Limits of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kuvos and its directors, staff, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Kuvos for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits limitation.
10. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the Service at any time. Contact us to request account closure, subject to identity verification and any retention duties described in the Privacy Policy. If an organisation provides your access, it may manage or end that access under its agreement with Kuvos.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect a person, the Service, or others; investigate suspected misuse; comply with law; address non-payment by a sponsoring organisation; or enforce these Terms. Where practical and lawful, we will give notice.
11. General terms
Changes. We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will post the revised Terms, update the date above, and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law. The law and courts that apply depend on the Kuvos entity providing the Service, your location, and any agreement with the organisation providing your access. Mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your place of residence are not displaced by these Terms.
Severability and waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver.
Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a reorganisation, financing, merger, or sale, subject to applicable law.
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable organisation agreement are the entire agreement about your use of the Service and replace earlier discussions on that subject.
